A chauffeur waiting at the FBO when your aircraft arrives, at San Jose, Palo Alto, San Carlos, Hayward and the other Bay Area airfields.

FBO essentials

Flying private only saves time if the ground side keeps up. Golden Eye Limo meets private and charter flights at the fixed-base operators (FBOs) around Silicon Valley and the Bay Area, with the vehicle in place before the aircraft is on the ramp and the luggage moved straight from the hold to the car.

We follow the flight by tail number where it is publicly trackable, coordinate with the FBO on access ahead of time, and keep the chauffeur informed of any change in arrival time. If your operator blocks public tracking, have the crew or your office message dispatch with an updated ETA and we adjust from there.

Ramp-side or lobby: how the meet works

  1. Book with the tail number, FBO, estimated arrival and passenger count.
  2. We confirm vehicle access with the FBO before the day; ramp-side pickups usually need the chauffeur's and vehicle's details in advance.
  3. On the day, we track the flight and the chauffeur arrives ahead of the ETA.
  4. Where the FBO and airport allow vehicles airside, the car meets the aircraft at the ramp and bags go straight in.
  5. Where they don't, your chauffeur waits in the FBO lobby and the line crew brings the bags through.

Ramp access is always the FBO's and the airport's decision, and it can change with security conditions on the day. We never promise a tarmac-side meet the FBO has not agreed to; if it matters to you, tell us when you book and we will confirm what the FBO will allow.

Wait time and delays

FBO pickups are airport pickups, so the complimentary airport wait listed on our pricing page applies, counted from the aircraft's actual arrival rather than the scheduled time. Beyond that, wait time is billed at the vehicle's hourly rate in 30-minute blocks. Early arrivals are as common as late ones in private flying, so the chauffeur is in position before the ETA, not at it.

If the flight diverts, for example from SJC to San Carlos or Hayward, let dispatch know and we redirect the car. For trips with an uncertain schedule, an hourly booking keeps the chauffeur with you from the ramp to your last stop.

Choosing the vehicle

An executive sedan suits one to three passengers with light luggage. A luxury SUV takes up to six passengers, or fewer with golf bags and large cases. A Mercedes Sprinter carries a larger party, or passengers and crew together, with room for luggage. For a group arriving on more than one aircraft, we can stage several vehicles under one point of contact.

Which airfield?

SJC suits most of the South Bay and handles the full range of business aircraft. Palo Alto and San Carlos are the closest fields to Stanford, Sand Hill Road, Atherton and Woodside, but their short runways limit them to smaller aircraft. Hayward handles larger jets and is often a practical choice for East Bay destinations. Your operator decides what is feasible; we will meet you at whichever field you land.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked

Can your chauffeur meet my aircraft on the ramp?

Where the FBO and airport permit vehicle access airside, yes, and we arrange it with the FBO in advance. Where they do not, your chauffeur meets you in the FBO lobby. Ramp access is always the FBO's decision.

Which FBOs do you serve at SJC?

Both FBOs at San Jose Mineta International, Signature and Atlantic. Tell us which one when you book.

What happens if my private flight is late or early?

We follow the flight by tail number where it is publicly trackable, and your chauffeur is in position before the ETA. The complimentary airport wait counts from your actual arrival; see pricing.

What do you need to book an FBO pickup?

The tail number, the FBO, the estimated arrival time, the number of passengers and bags, and the destination.

Do you serve Palo Alto, San Carlos and Hayward airports?

Yes, along with private aviation at SJC, SFO and OAK.

Can you take the crew to their hotel as well?

Yes. A Sprinter can carry passengers and crew together, or we can send a second vehicle for the crew.
