Bay Area limo FAQ

Booking, airports, wait time, vehicles, weddings, wine tours and corporate accounts.

These are the questions riders ask before they book. Each answer is the policy or the number already published on this site. If a rule is not listed here, ask dispatch at (650) 242-0663 and we will confirm it for that trip.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked

How do I book a limo with Golden Eye?

Book online at goldeneyelimo.com/booking, send a quote request, or call dispatch at (650) 242-0663, which answers 24/7. For a same-day ride, call rather than relying on the form alone. We confirm the full total before you book.

Which airports do you serve?

We serve SFO, SJC and OAK, including the international terminals, plus private-aviation FBOs at SJC, SFO, Oakland, Palo Alto, San Carlos and Hayward. SJC FBO names on our private-aviation page are Signature and Atlantic. Every commercial airport pickup includes flight tracking. See airport transfers.

What if my flight is delayed or lands early?

We track the flight and move the pickup to the actual landing, so an early or late arrival still has a car. The free wait at the airport is 60 minutes. After that, waiting is billed at the vehicle's hourly rate in 30-minute blocks.

How long will the chauffeur wait?

The wait is free for 60 minutes at airports and for 15 minutes everywhere else. After that free allowance, waiting is billed at the vehicle's hourly rate in 30-minute blocks.

What vehicles do you have, and how many people fit?

Executive sedans seat up to 3. The Cadillac Escalade and Chevrolet Suburban seat up to 6. A Sprinter executive van seats up to 13 and a Sprinter limousine up to 14. The Cadillac Escalade stretch seats up to 8. Party buses seat up to 20 or 25. The GM28 mini coach seats up to 23 and the GM33 mini coach up to 27. The GM40 coach seats up to 40 and the motor coach up to 56. Stretch limousines, party buses, mini coaches and coaches are quoted per trip. See pricing and the fleet.

How far ahead should I book a Bay Area wedding limo?

Book three to six months ahead for May through October, when Bay Area wedding weekends fill first, and about six months ahead for the widest choice of vehicles on a peak Saturday. Sedans, SUVs, stretch limousines and Sprinters are the usual wedding vehicles. See weddings.

How do Napa and Sonoma wine tours work?

Wine-country days are booked hourly, with a minimum, so the chauffeur stays between wineries. Most of our tours run about six to ten hours. We help plan the timing; tasting reservations are made with the wineries. A Sprinter between SFO and Napa, Yountville or Calistoga is $1,150 all-inclusive. Harvest season is roughly August through October. See wine tours.

Can my company open a corporate account?

Yes. A corporate account has one point of contact, consolidated invoicing, trip receipts and monthly invoices, plus priority scheduling. Chauffeurs sign an NDA on request. Call (650) 242-0663 or use the contact page to set one up.

Where do you drive?

Our dispatch office is at 830 Stewart Dr, Ste 208, Sunnyvale (no walk-ins), and we dispatch 24/7 across the San Francisco Bay Area and Silicon Valley. That includes San Jose, Santa Clara, Cupertino, Mountain View, Palo Alto, Menlo Park, Los Gatos, Los Altos, Atherton, Saratoga, Woodside and San Francisco, plus Napa and Sonoma wine country.

Is the price I am quoted the price I pay?

Yes. We confirm the full total before you book. Hourly and point-to-point base rates then have 20% gratuity, a 10% fuel surcharge and 4% tax added. Airport flat rates add 20% gratuity and 4% tax. Sprinter executive flat rates are all-inclusive, so nothing further is added. See pricing.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept cash and major credit cards: Visa, MasterCard, Amex and Discover. Corporate accounts can be invoiced. See corporate travel.

How much notice do I need to cancel?

Sedans and SUVs need 24 hours' notice to cancel. Vans and mini coaches need 72 hours' notice. The policy states the notice period only.

Is there a charge for an early-morning or red-eye pickup?

Yes. A pickup between 11:30 pm and 6 am adds a $25 after-hours fee. There is no surge pricing and no holiday surcharge. Dispatch is open 24/7.

Do you meet people inside the airport terminal?

Yes, on request. A name-sign meet-and-greet at baggage claim is $25. Curbside pickup is also available, and flight tracking on an airport pickup is included.

Why do hourly bookings have a minimum?

The minimum covers preparing the vehicle and driving to the first stop and back from the last. Sedans and SUVs have a 3-hour minimum. Sprinter minimums depend on the area: 3 hours around Sunnyvale, San Jose and Palo Alto, and up to 6 hours for Napa, Sonoma and Pebble Beach.
